I:  INTRODUCE: The Great THANKSGIVING LISTEN HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT

Purpose:

• To document a story by a relative or a family friend
• To listen to understand vs. to respond

Directions

• Learn about StoryCorps and the Great Listen (Links to an external site.)
• Download the StoryCorps app (Links to an external site.) onto your phone
• Follow the steps on the app to conduct an interview with a relative or family friend at Thanksgiving

• Make sure your interviewee consents to the interview being publicly available online and at the Library of Congress
  • If interviewee says yes
    • Step 1: Upload it and put the following in keywords and organizations
      • #SIGreatListen

      • St. Ignatius College Preparatory
    • Step 2: Tweet it with

  • Save interview on phone and play it for Ms. Devencenzi in person
