Day 1

1.  REVIEW THE ELECTION OF 2000 (BUSH V. GORE)
You need 2000 Election Handout located under "Ch 8 handouts"
2.  WORK ON PROJECT 

Candidates, by the end of the period you should be able to answer the following questions:
1.)  If you win the Presidency what's the first thing you will do?
2.)  What is your role as the VP?  How do you balance the President?
3.)  Romney, there have been some claims that you are unable to connect with the average voter due to your socio-economic status.  How do you respond to this?
Obama, there have been some claims that you haven't been able to keep some of the lofty promises made in 2008.  How do you respond to this?


AD producers, by the end of the period you should have:
1.  A realistic blueprint (plan) for your ad
2.  Some footage of your candidate(s)
3.  Music chosen (if using)
4.  Stats/Info for the issues you will be highlighting

1. Find who the media says won the debate. Tweet your your article with your opinion of who won this debate (look at USA today, Polltracker, etc).
2. Quiz
3. Finish your Toss Up slides and include one major newspaper headline from your state (pick a major city) to show the reaction to the debate.  Use this awesome site!  http://www.newseum.org/todaysfrontpages/

Questions for slides:
 1.  How/Why did your state vote in 2008?
 2.  What's the most important issue your state is facing?
 3.  What's your projection for your state in 2012 election?  Red or Blue?  WHY?
